ninth symphony films - movie reviews

HOME

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting my site of contemporary movie reviews. I see over one hundred theatrical releases a year and I try to review as many as I have time for. I enjoy all genres of film with science fiction and historical epics ranking as two of my personal favorites. I'm not usually inclined to enjoy slasher films, but if there's a well-made suspense film out there, I'll gladly sit and watch it.

Please visit the menu options above to see how I rate movies, who I trade links with, and more about this site. Feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, complaints, and/or compliments. I realize my opinions don't always mesh with the Big Fellas of the film critic world, but what can I say? I simply love movies and enjoy sharing my views on them with people who love film, too. Thank you for visiting and enjoy your stay!

From The Archive:

What's New:

With Fall comes the start of "Oscar hopeful" movie releases. There should also be a couple gore-fests with Halloween nearing on the calendar (they've already started putting the candy out, why not put the movies out a few months early as well?).

It seems as though the summer 2006 "blockbuster" season saw few blockbusters, but no real definite flops... mediocrity in many releases was the order of the day. All I can say is: if you're gonna spend three gazillion dollars on just one tent-pole pic for the summer, can you at least ensure it's a decent theatrical experience? ENOUGH WITH THE CAPES, SUPERPOWERS, AND X-RAY VISION ALREADY. Give those "graphic novels" a rest!

Coming Soon:

coming soon     coming soon     coming soon     coming soon

Films to look forward to down the road in late 2006 include Apocalypto, Charlotte's Web, The Good Shepherd, and Black Christmas.
